YOSHUKAI
INT'L. KARATE SCHOOL
JUNIORS KARATE PROGRAM (children aged 11 - 13 years old)
The emphasis in this program is also on respect, attitude, effort and manners while learning basic karate techniques. More advanced karate techniques and applications are taught at this level. Juniors Class members improve their self esteem, self confidence, focus, concentration, work ethics, respectfulness, manners, a positive attitude and leadership skills. Parents of students in our programs typically comment on the improvement in their child's focus and concentration, self confidence, school grades and overall behaviour within a few short months of starting their karate training.
Juniors Classes are held year round, up to five times a week for beginners and up to six times a week for coloured belts. We recommend that students try to attend a minimum average of two classes per week to keep their learning curve on a steady upward progression. Students in this program may attend as many of the five or six classes per week that they wish. Juniors classes are Monday through Thursday from 7:30pm to 8:15pm and Saturdays from 11:00am to 11:45am. On Friday nights, for those who are yellow belt with one stripe or higher in rank, there is a sparring league. The enrollment in the Juniors Program each month is limited to six new students and pre-registration is a must.
We have two class schedules; one in effect during the school year and one in effect during the summer (and Spring Break). Link to Class Schedules (School Year and Summer schedules)
